ADP: US private payrolls up by 365,000 in October
The number of jobs in the private sector in the United States grew by significantly less-than-expected 365,000 in October, according to the ADP National Employment Report released on Wednesday.
Large companies increased their number of employees by opening 116,000 new jobs, while jobs in medium businesses went up by 135,000 and in small businesses 114,000.
The number of jobs in the service sector surged by 348,000, most of which were in the leisure & hospitality sector. Meanwhile, the number of jobs in the good-producing businesses was up by just 17,000.
