Biden: US economy stronger than before pandemic
United States President Joe Biden said on Friday that the US is the only leading economy in which “economy as a whole” is stronger than before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biden touted today’s jobs report, stressing the country recorded the sharpest one-year drop in the unemployment rate in its history, which stood at 3.9% in December. He added that wages have also grown but acknowledged rising inflation “remains a concern.”
The US president added that the jobs report showed the US added a record 6.4 million jobs since last January and insisted his economic recovery plan is working.
