BoJ has no plans to issue own digital currency yet – Kuroda
Bank of Japan (BoJ) Governor Haruhiko Kuroda speaking on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) on Friday said that central banks will continue at their own pace with launching their own digital currencies, adding that Japan’s central banks does not have plans to make those moves yet.
The Governor revealed said that, in his view, the BoJ will not be able to make that decision before 2026.
