Chinese COVID-19 vaccine successful in trial
A vaccine developed in China for COVID-19 showed good results in a phase one clinical trial, a study released in the British medical journal showed on Friday.
The vaccine, which was the first COVID-19 vaccine to reach a phase one trial, was tested on humans and develops immunity to SARS-COV-2, the virus behind COVID-19. It is also deemed safe by the study and was described as “well-tolerated by humans.”
Over 100 vaccines for COVID-19 are being developed worldwide, with some of the most advanced research taking place in China, the United States, France and the United Kingdom.
