Coronavirus cases in UK now stand at 3,983
United Kingdom Department of Health and Social Care reported on Friday that the number of people infected with coronavirus now stands at 3,983. A total of 66,976 people have been tested and the death toll reached 184 with 40 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
The country’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson said earlier today the government is strengthening the measures to avoid unnecessary social contact amid coronavirus pandemic. Johnson said all cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants must close tonight. He added that takeout services for these businesses would be able to continue.
Also, it is reported that the Northwick Park Hospital in London has run out of beds at its critical care unit and declared a “critical incident” as the number of coronavirus patients surged.
