Deal on stopgap bill may be possible – Meadows
White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows (pictured) stated on Tuesday that “it appears” the lawmakers will be able to reach an agreement on the stopgap spending bill needed to avoid a partial government shutdown on October 1.
The negotiations between Republicans and Democrats reached a deadlock over the inclusion of federal farm assistance, as well as further assistance covering school lunch.
Commenting on coronavirus relief, the official stated that the Trump administration is looking at piecemeal stimulus which would likely include partial relief for airline companies.
