EU felicitates Pashinyan on election victory
European Council President Charles Michel offered on Monday his “warm congratulations” to acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the results his party achieved in the parliamentary elections.
“The EU [European Union] stands by Armenia in support of deepening reforms,” he tweeted. “We are also ready to further support regional stabilization and comprehensive conflict settlement.”
Pashinyan’s party Civil Contract won the majority in this year’s parliamentary elections in Armenia with 53.92% of the votes.
