FB cancels Oculus Go to focus on higher-end VR products
Facebook Inc. said on Tuesday it will discontinue sales of its Oculus Go headset this year, as it focuses on higher-end virtual-reality products.
“We’ll end sales of Oculus Go headsets this year as we double down on improving our offerings for Quest and Rift,” Facebook said in a blog post.
The company will continue to maintain the system software with bug fixes and security patches through 2022, but will no longer ship new features.
