Georgia certifies Ossoff, Warnock Senate victories

Georgia State Secretary Office confirmed on Tuesday it had certified the victories of Democratic candidates Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in the race for the Peach State’s representatives in the United States Senate.

Governor Brian Kemp now has to fill the necessary paperwork and send it to the country’s upper chamber for further confirmation, after which Ossoff and Warnock will be sworn in.

Ossoff and Warnock won the elections by flipping the seats previously held by Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.
