German business climate improves in February – Ifo
The Business Climate Index in Germany rose to 92.4 in February, marking a 2.3-point improvement compared to 90.1 recorded in January, the Munich-based Institute for Economic Research (Ifo) unveiled on Monday. The figure came in above the analysts’ expectations.
The Ifo Current Economic Assessment Index came in at 90.1 this month, 1.4 points above the level seen in January, while the Expectations Index jumped to 94.2 after a 3.1-point increase on a monthly level. Both indices advanced more than what was expected.
