Germany’s coronavirus cases increase by 1,077
The number of infections with coronavirus went up by 1,077 in the past 24 hours to reach 157,495 in Germany, according to data from the country’s regional health authorities.
Meanwhile, the death toll from COVID-19 stood at 5,944 after health officials registered 71 deaths nationwide since yesterday’s update.
A total of 112,000 German citizens were discharged from hospitals as they successfully recovered from the infection.
