Hamilton secures pole position in Portugal GP

Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton secured on Saturday the pole position in the qualifications for the Portugal Grand Prix. His teammate Valtteri Bottas came in second, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen got third place.

This is Hamilton’s 97th pole position since the start of his career. If he wins on Sunday, he will overtake Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of 91 Formula 1 victories.
