Man City crushes Sporting in CL round of 16’s first leg
Manchester City FC defeated on Tuesday Sporting CP 5–0 in the first leg of the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League’s round of 16.
The match, which took place at Jose Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon, saw goals by the English club’s players Riyad Mahrez in the seventh minute, Bernardo Silva in the 17th and 44th, Phil Foden in the 32nd, and Raheem Sterling in the 58th.
The second leg of the encounter will be played on March 9 at City of Manchester Stadium.
