N. Korea fires gunshots at South’s guard post – report
North Korea fired multiple gunshotds towards South Korea’s guard post in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), Yonhap reported citing the South’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Seoul noted that the incident didn’t result in any casualties and added its military is in the process of contacting Pyongayng about the matter in order to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. South Korea added it also fired back two shots at the North.
The incident comes a day after North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un appeared in public for the first time since rumors emerged he is brain dead.
