Nasdaq turns to gains as Tesla soars
The Nasdaq 100 moved to positive territory on Thursday after having started the fourth trading session of the week in the red. Shares of Tesla Inc. rallied for the third day in a row after the S&P Global announced that it will add the automaker to its S&P 500 benchmark in December.
The Nasdaq 100 gained 0.37% at 11:01 am ET, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.32% at the same time. A minute later, the S&P 500 was down by 0.12%.
The euro slid 0.10% versus the dollar, selling for 1.18422 at 11:04 am ET.
