Russia, China pose threat to space peaceful usage – UK
The United Kingdom government Defence Secretary Ben Wallace (pictured) stated that Britain will push its ability to handle threats by Russia and China regarding the usage of space.
He told The Sunday Telegraph that “this week we have been reminded of the threat Russia poses to our national security with the provocative test of a weapon-like projectile from a satellite threatening the peaceful use of space,” adding that “China, too, is developing offensive space weapons and both nations are upgrading their capabilities.”
Earlier this week, the UK expressed its worries regarding the Russian launch of a projectile with the “characteristics of a weapon.”
