Russia hits new record with 799 daily COVID deaths
Russia’s health authorities unveiled on Friday that over the past 24 hours the number of people that have died due to the coronavirus increased by 799, bringing the total death toll in the country to 146,868.
This marks the fourth consecutive day that a new record in the daily number of deaths has been reached. At the same time, the number of new cases was 25,704, meaning that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 5,907,999.
On the other hand, the number of people that have recovered from the virus increased by 21,932 for the same period. The total number of recoveries in Russia has now climbed to 5,300,908.
