Trump claims he handled COVID-19 better than Obama H1N1
United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to once again claim that his administration handled the coronavirus pandemic better than his predecessor Barack Obama and his administration dealt with the H1N1 outbreak.
“We are getting great marks for the handling of the CoronaVirus pandemic, especially the very early BAN of people from China, the infectious source, entering the USA. Compare that to the Obama/Sleepy Joe disaster known as H1N1 Swine Flu. Poor marks, bad polls – didn’t have a clue!,” Trump wrote.
The remarks come a day after Obama branded the Trump administration’s response to the virus a “an absolute chaotic disaster.” During the 2009-2010 H1N1 pandemic, the US reported a total of 3,433 confirmed deaths, while the country registered 80,040 from COVID-19 so far.
