Trump: Regeneron drug most unbelievable thing
United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that the Regeneron drug against the coronavirus is the “most unbelievable thing” and claimed it helped him recover “immediately” from COVID-19.
During an appearance on the Rush Limbaugh show, Trump claimed that if he hadn’t been infected, the drug companies would take much longer to roll out drugs against the disease and now they are sending “hundreds of thousands of vials” of the medicine across the US. He stressed that he will push for a quick emergency authorization of the Regeneron drug, as well as Eli Lilly’s version of it, so that people around the US can be cured.
The US president acknowledged he also received Gilead’s remdesivir as part of his treatment, but insisted it was Regeneron’s medicine that helped him recover.
