US adds 47,366 coronavirus cases, 789 deaths
The number of people who contracted the coronavirus in the United States has grown by 47,366 during the past 24 hours, data accumulated by the Johns Hopkins University unveiled on Friday.
During the same period, there were 789 additional fatalities attributed to the virus, the tally showed. After the latest updates, the US COVID-19 case count stood at 32,604,810, while the country’s virus death toll reached 580,064.
Earlier today, Pfizer and BioNTech submitted the full authorization application for its COVID-19 vaccine to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
