Wirecard’s former COO went to Belarus – report
Wirecard’s former Chief Operating Officer Jan Marsalek could be in Belarus or Russia, Der Spiegel reported on Saturday, citing the travel documentation it obtained.
Since the company scandal over the alleged market manipulation and money laundering, the Munich public prosecutor’s office searched the Wirecard’s headquarters along with the house of the company’s former CEO Markus Braun, who was arrested, but Marsalek’s whereabouts remained unknown.
Given the border limitations between Russia and Belarus, Marsalek could be in either of the two countries, the report read.
