Zarif: Biden administration follows Trump’s footsteps
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif (pictured) claimed on Tuesday that the United States President Joe Biden and his administration follow former US President Donald “Trump’s footsteps while trying to use his unlawful sanctions as ‘leverage.'”
Zarif also cited Biden’s tweet dated June 20, 2019, when the then-potential US presidential candidate stated that “it’s sadly ironic that the State Dept is now calling on Iran to abide by the very deal the Trump administration abandoned.”
It was reported yesterday that the White House is planning to offer easing of sanctions against Tehran in exchange for Iran’s reduction in nuclear activities.
