China on Taiwan: Those who play with fire will get burnt
Chinese Foreign Ministry blasted on Wednesday “the Taiwan secessionists” and those who support them, stressing that “those who play with fire will only burn themselves.”
The message came as a response to a reporter’s question regarding Washington’s invitation to Taiwan to the Summit for Democracy. China and Russia weren’t invited to the meeting.
Earlier during the day, China’s Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian described the United States’ move as “a mistake.”
