Coronavirus infections in US top 400K
The United States has recorded over 400,000 cases of the coronavirus, according to the latest data from Worldometers published on Wednesday.
Aside from leading in the number of COVID-19 infections globally, total deaths from the virus in the US have reached nearly 13,000, with only Italy and Spain reporting more casualties.
Modelers at the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) have predicted nationwide deaths from the coronavirus will reach about 82,000 deaths by August.
