COVID-19 daily death toll drops to 164 in Spain
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Sunday that, after three days of standing flat, the daily coronavirus death toll in the country fell to 164 and reached the level last recorded on March 18.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed the number of COVID-19 cases rose by 884 to reach 217,466. Compared to yesterday, the daily increase has also been smaller.
Director of the country’s Health alert and Emergency Coordination centre, Fernando Simon, will provide further details at a daily briefing later today.
