Facebook Oversight Board to meet whistleblower
Facebook Inc.’s Oversight Board announced on Monday it will meet the company’s former employee-turned-whistleblower Frances Haugen (pictured) “over the coming weeks.”
The decision to invite Haugen to speak to the board has been made “in light of the serious claims” she made “about Facebook’s approach to content moderation” during her congressional testimony last week.
“Board members appreciate the chance to discuss Ms. Haugen’s experiences and gather information that can help push for greater transparency and accountability from Facebook through our case decisions and recommendations,” the board said in a written statement.
