Lagarde: PEPP increase to be determined ‘holistically’

There is no specific figure behind the word ‘significant,’ in terms of the pandemic emergency purchase program (PEPP), President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde asserted on Thursday.

The pace at which the PEPP will be increased will be determined via a “holistic and multifaceted” approach, Lagarde said, adding that ECB doesn’t “function mechanically” on financing conditions.

“We don’t operate mechanically, we look at all the indicators,” she underlined.
