Macron calls for immediate stop to Russian operations
French President Emmanuel Macron urged Russia on Thursday to “end its military operations” in Ukraine “immediately.”
“France strongly condemns Russia’s decision to wage war on Ukraine,” he tweeted.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in Ukraine, citing “abuse, genocide from the Kiev regime for eight years” in regions where Russian-speaking minority in Ukraine lives as the reasons for the move.
