Navarro: TikTok, WeChat biggest forms of censorship
TikTok and WeChat are the “biggest forms of censorship in the Chinese mainland,” White House trade advisor Peter Navarro said on Sunday.
Speaking to Fox News about President Donald Trump’s second-term agenda, Navarro added that the US is looking into the possibility of banning the Chinese apps and claimed that they engage in “information warfare” and steal data from American users for the Communist Party of China.
Navarro also accused corporate America, saying the Communist Party of China has “power” over them. The trade advisor stressed that Trump is “closely looking” into the problem of Chinese firms and said action will be announced soon.
