Sherman to lead US delegation in Geneva

The United States delegation to a “US-Russia bilateral Strategic Stability Dialogue” will be led by US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman (pictured), the State Department announced on Monday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden agreed in June “to have a deliberate and robust dialogue” aimed at laying “the groundwork” for more efficient arms control, the statement read.

The summit will be held on September 30. The previous meeting between the two delegations took place on July 28.
