Trump says 25th amendment is zero risk
United States President Donald Trump made a statement on Tuesday saying he’s not worried that the US Vice President Mike Pence may invoke the 25th amendment on him.
“Be careful what you wish for,’’ Trump said. He also noted that the impeachment process is “dangerous for the USA, especially at this very tender time.”
The 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution states that in the case of the president’s inability to hold office, it is the vice president’s turn to step into the job. However, if Pence fails to invoke the 25th amendment, the US House Democrats are expected to vote to impeach the president later on Tuesday.
