US to provide free COVID-19 vaccines to seniors – report
United States President Donald Trump is set to announce later today that his administration will provide COVID-19 vaccines to senior citizens free of charge, Politico reported on Friday.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the government has reached a deal with Walgreens and CVS to deliver a coronavirus vaccine to seniors and staff working in long-term care facilities. However, the report noted the plan is still subject to change.
On the vaccine front, Pfizer Inc. revealed earlier today the company could seek approval for its vaccine candidate as soon as next month, depending on the results of its clinical trials.
