Venezuela willing to cooperate with US – minister
Venezuela is willing to cooperate with the United States in the energy trade sector, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Felix Plasencia announced on Saturday.
“I hope they respect the sovereignty and legitimacy of my government. President [Nicolas] Maduro is the only legitimate head of the Venezuelan government. We can achieve a lot in the field of oil trade by convincing them to respect him,” Plasencia told Anadolu.
Plasencia also stressed that Caracas never expelled the US oil companies from Venezuela. “They made that decision themselves,” the minister said. He also mentioned that he hopes the US will lift the sanctions to have “a respectful relationship.”
