Wirecard offices, ex-CEO Braun’s house searched
Munich public prosecutor’s office revealed on Wednesday that Wirecard AG’s headquarters have been searched this morning, along with four other properties, including two in Austria, with one of them being former CEO Markus Braun’s house in Vienna.
There were 12 prosecutors, 33 police officers as well as IT experts from the Munich Police Headquarters and from Austria involved in today’s investigation. The authorities have searched the company’s headquarters in Aschheim previously on June 5.
The prosecutors have added the firm’s CFO Alexander von Knoop and Chief Product Officer Susanne Steidl to the list of suspects, while the prosecution’s case has been expanded to include fraud, a spokeswoman told Reuters.
