Alibaba CEO: China needs anti-monopoly rules
China needs to have anti-monopoly legislation linked to technology companies, Alibaba Group CEO Daniel Zhang stated at the World Internet Conference on Monday.
Zhang went on to say that the Chinese government’s promotion of large internet companies helped them achieve great success but added new regulation is needed so that the whole society can continue “sustainable and healthy development.”
Commenting on draft anti-monopoly rules, he stressed that the changes are “timely and necessary.”
