All UK adults to be offered COVID booster by end of year
United Kingdom Prime Minister announced on Sunday that every adult in the country will be offered to get the coronavirus booster shot by the end of the year in order to deal with the “Omicron emergency.”
Johnson noted that the government plans to accelerate vaccinations, with military planning teams being deployed to coordinate efforts and extending the opening hours of clinics so they are open seven days a week.
At the same time, Johnson urged people to work from home if they are able to, as well as wear face masks in indoor public spaces. Lastly, he said that if the vote in parliament goes ahead on Wednesday negative lateral flow tests will need to be shown for nightclubs and large events.
