WHO warns the young about COVID-19 risks
Young people are “not invincible” and could be badly affected by the coronavirus, warned World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Friday.
“This coronavirus could put you in hospital for weeks, or even kill you. Even if you don’t get sick, the choices you make about where you go could be the difference between life and death for someone else,” he stressed.
A “significant proportion” of patients requiring hospitalization is younger than 50, the official added.
